SAIOH QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (QMS)
|
| | | | A Quality Management System (QMS) is a formalised system that documents processes, procedures, and responsibilities for achieving quality policies and objectives. It helps organisations coordinate and direct their activities to meet customer and regulatory requirements while improving efficiency and effectiveness. Here are the key components of a QMS: Quality Policy and Objectives: These are statements that define the organisation's quality standards and goals. Process Approach: Identifying and managing the processes necessary to deliver products or services that meet customer expectations. Continuous Improvement: Ongoing efforts to enhance the QMS through better processes, products, and services. Member Focus: Ensuring that member needs and expectations are central to the QMS. Document Control: A system for managing and controlling documents related to quality management. Internal Audits: Regular checks to ensure that the QMS is functioning correctly and meeting its objectives. Corrective Actions: Steps taken to eliminate the causes of nonconformities and prevent recurrence.
By implementing a QMS, an organisation ensures consistency in delivering quality products or services, improves customer satisfaction, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement. | | | | | | As part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and continuous improvement, we are pleased to share the Professional Certification Committee (PCC) section of the SAIOH Quality Management System documentation. The PCC has established a robust framework to maintain quality standards which comply with regulatory, national, and international standards. The framework covers essential processes and procedures, including: - Registering and upgrading processes
- Assessment and feedback mechanisms
- Handling complaints and concerns
- Continuing professional development and personal learning portfolios
- Mentorship and ethics guidelines
- Member responsibilities and obligations
These procedures ensure that the committee meets its objectives and adheres to national and international standards. We encourage all members to familiarise themselves with this section and ensure a full understanding of the PCC policies and processes. QMS CHAPTER 2 PCC ASSESSMENT RULES AND PROCEDURES Should you have any questions or need further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact the SAIOH PCC Administrator Ms Lee Doolan. | |
