Attached are two important notices that were issued by the Department of Employment and Labour as well as the Department of Co-Operative Governance and Traditional Affairs, regarding the current COVID-19 crisis. They will both impact on your life and  business and it is vital that you consider the contents thereof.  SAIOH  can assist to source OH AIA’s specialising in conducting  Hazardous Biological Agents Risk Assessment or updating any existing HBA Risk Assessments.

Furthermore, we support the following measures to respond to the Covid-19 crisis:

  1. All OH equipment should be  disinfected before being used, as well as after it is collected.
  2. OH staff have to be trained to take the correct precautions when conducting any surveys on your premises and will interact as little as possible with your staff (i.e. practice social distancing where-ever possible).
  3. SAIOH have decided to suspend all face-to-face meetings, however we are investigating the feasibility to do aforementioned remotely, e.g. conduct on-line webinar training, etc..  This will enable your staff/people to meet in smaller groups/or as individuals. All they need is access to a computer and internet connection or meet in a room where there is a projector /or at least one computer/laptop with an internet connection, as well as sound. We feel that this is the most conservative approach that can be taken to prevent  or at least slow down the spread of this disease.

Acknowledging Safetech's input in the above.

Regards,

The SAIOH Team
