SAIOH council recently sent out calls for the nomination of a new Councillor to take over the Technical portfolio which became available on the resignation of Johan Du Plessis from this position.
Two nominations with motivation were received by the closing date. These were reviewed and considered by Council during the meeting on 31st March and a formal vote occurred as required by the SAIOH constitution.
The President and Council members of SAIOH are pleased to announce that Hennie Van der Westhuizen was elected and has agreed to serve on council in this position.
Our constitution requires council to advise all members of any change in council structure and members have 30 days to comment on this change, or to lodge in writing any formal complaint or reason why this candidate is not acceptable. Members therefore have until close of business 4th May 2017 after which this position will be considered formally filled.
