The Presenter:

Tibor Szana is the Chief Inspector of the Department of Labour.

He has a National Higher Diploma (T4) in Mechanical Engineering from Cape Town Technikon. He was employed by the Department of Labour in January 1993 as an Occupational Health and Safety inspector. Most of his working career in the Department of Labour has been spent in Gauteng, in the Johannesburg area, rising through the ranks, until he was promoted to Chief Director on 1 May 2014.

He is a member of the current Advisory Council for Occupational Health and Safety and an Honorary Member of Saiosh
